Afinando tu vida | Mavic Bush | TEDxPortoPí
3 juin 2026
When Progress Leaves People Behind | Adziqa Ammara | TEDxITENAS
3 juin 2026
This talk challenges Indonesia's obsession with economic metrics as the primary measure of national progress. Citing the Global Wealth Report 2018, Adziqa reveals that the richest 1% of Indonesians control nearly half of the nation's wealth, while resource-rich regions like Central Sulawesi remain poorer than the national average. Progress, it seems, is being built on someone else's loss. Through the stories of Pak Ahmad, a fisherman in Halmahera watching his sea turn toxic, and Ibu Rosina, an indigenous woman in East Kalimantan whose family land was seized for the new capital city, the speaker puts a human face on the cost of development. With 47% of locals exposed to mercury above safe limits and 32% to dangerous arsenic levels, largely from nickel mining that ironically fuels the global push for "green" electric vehicles—the promised prosperity rarely reaches those who sacrifice the most for it. The call is clear: true progress is not measured by how fast a nation grows, but by how many of its people can live with dignity, health, and justice, and whether anyone is left behind in the process. Adziqa Ammara, MD is a physician, content creator, and community leader whose work centers on health education, social issues, and public empowerment. She has built a digital community of more than 135 thousand followers through educational content that fosters meaningful public discourse. Her experience as a Millennial Aide in the Jabar Future Leader program strengthened her understanding of governance, policy implementation, and citizen engagement. As an awardee of the PPK Ormawa Kemendikbud program, she led community development initiatives in Karangwangi Village with a focus on environmental sustainability and education. Her leadership background is further enriched by intensive training through the School of Leader at BEM Kema UNPAD and by various organizational roles involving social advocacy, protocol management, and community health education. This profile reflects her commitment to social innovation, cross sector collaboration, and community centered transformation. When Machines Speak, Who Gives Them a Soul? | Sujiwo Tejo | TEDxITENAS
3 juin 2026
This talk challenges the assumption that technology is inherently meaningful simply because it is advanced or widely adopted. Using the metaphor of the wayang (shadow puppet)—lifeless until animated by the puppeteer's hands and soul, Sudjiwo Tejo argues that technology, no matter how sophisticated, remains an empty pattern without human values breathed into it. A puppet does not move with justice or feeling on its own; neither does a machine. Drawing from his personal journey across traditional arts like wayang and gamelan and modern music, he reveals how cultural heritage shapes a deeper understanding of creativity. He reframes happiness not as a reward waiting at the finish line of achievement, but as a spontaneous inner state that should fuel creation, not follow it. He calls on audiences to stop fearing technology and start engaging with it responsibly and soulfully, recognizing that while machines can "talk" and "hear," only humans truly speak and listen, carrying empathy in every exchange. Just as every person holds both light and shadow within them, technology too sits at that threshold: a cocoon, neither dark nor radiant on its own. What it becomes depends entirely on the human heart guiding it. Sujiwo Tejo is a traditional puppeteer of Javanese wayang kulit, wayang orang, and Madurese wayang topeng. He studied Mathematics at the Department of Mathematics, Bandung Institute of Technology, and Civil Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology from 1980 to 1988. He is frequently invited to give lectures on mathematics, including at TEDx Bandung with the topic “Math: Finding Harmony in Chaos.” He views mathematics as an orchestration of concepts and music as audible mathematics, emphasizing pattern recognition rather than calculation. His interdisciplinary perspective connects mathematics, civil engineering, spirituality, music, literature, visual arts, theater, film, and cultural discourse, all of which he considers integral parts of pedalangan. Although often labeled by the media as a multi-talented artist, he identifies himself simply as a dalang whose creative process requires mastery of multiple artistic and intellectual domains. Fearless! | Talia Abou Dagga | TEDxASCSNAS Youth
3 juin 2026
What if fear isn't stopping you because you're weak—but because you're standing at the edge of growth? In this inspiring TEDx Youth talk, Talia explores one of the most universal human experiences: fear. Whether it's speaking in public, chasing a dream, taking a risk, or stepping outside our comfort zones, fear often convinces us to stay small, remain silent, and avoid uncertainty. Drawing from personal experiences, powerful reflections, and timeless wisdom, Talia challenges the belief that courage means being fearless. Instead, she argues that true courage is acting despite fear. Through stories of self-doubt, growth, and resilience, she demonstrates how confidence is not something we are born with—it is something we build every time we choose action over avoidance. This talk is a reminder that fear will always exist, but so will our ability to overcome it. On the other side of fear lies growth, opportunity, discovery, and the person we have the potential to become. Talia is a very confident and well-spoken student, who enjoys public speaking. She has been participating in MUNs and enjoys giving speeches at ceremonies and major events. Talia's bright idea of redefining what is possible encouraged her to become a TEDx ASCSNAS Youth speaker and take the stage this year. Productively Delusional | JUSTIN THOMAS VARGHESE | TEDxCAIAS
3 juin 2026
Why do the most brilliant plans so often fail to launch, while the most absurd ideas end up changing the world? For award-winning tech innovator and entrepreneur Justin Thomas, the dividing line between ordinary execution and extraordinary impact comes down to a single, unexpected ingredient: delusion. In this sharp, fast-paced talk, Justin breaks down why waiting for absolute certainty is a trap that creates the "Overthinking Genius"—someone who plans perfectly but rarely moves. Drawing from his high-stakes journey as a two-time International Innovation Accelerator champion competing on global stages, Justin introduces a blueprint for radical self-reinvention. He separates "destructive delusion" from what he calls "productive delusion"—a mindset backed by relentless effort, fueled by data, and intentionally setting goals large enough to feel slightly embarrassing. By redefining failure as a temporary data point rather than a final verdict, Justin offers a disruptive perspective on how the next generation can rise. This talk is an urgent call to action to stop waiting for permission, stop over-strategising from the sidelines, and build the audacity to act before the world thinks you're ready. Justin Thomas is a 4th semester BCA student at Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies, Bengaluru, with a distinguished record in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. A two-time International Innovation Accelerator champion and two-time National Venture Startup champion, Justin has consistently competed and won at the highest levels, representing his institution against delegates from China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and across 20 Indian states. He is also a nationally ranked participant of the CEO Vanguard Program and a National Research Award recipient. A software generalist and cloud-native developer, Justin builds at the intersection of technology and real-world impact, driven by the belief that the most extraordinary outcomes belong to those who act before the world is ready for them. The Anxiety Alchemist: Turning Fear into Your Greatest Asset | SUMIIT TRIPATHY | TEDxCAIAS
3 juin 2026
What if the very thing that paralyses you is actually the key to your greatest strength? For public speaking coach and entrepreneur Sumiit Tripathy, the road to authority didn’t begin with natural eloquence—it began in the tight grip of extreme social anxiety. In this compelling and transformative talk, Sumiit strips away the myth that great communicators are born, not made. He takes us on his ten-year journey of radical self-reinvention, detailing how he broke through the silent prison of anxiety to pitch to multi-millionaire founders, author two books, and build a coaching platform that has empowered hundreds of senior executives to speak with power. By redefining what it truly means to be confident, Sumiit provides a psychological blueprint for anyone who has ever felt overlooked, hesitant, or terrified to voice their ideas. He reminds us that the world doesn't need perfect, unshakeable speakers; it needs authentic individuals who have the courage to rise above their fears and claim their right to be heard. No estás estancado, estás aferrado y te está costando | Joselyn Torrealba | TEDxPunta Cana Women
3 juin 2026
3 juin 2026
3 juin 2026
In this talk, astrophysicist Selçuk Topal explores the invisible connections between humanity and the universe through the lens of science. From the origins of the cosmos to the vast regions that remain beyond our observation, from the shared history of our atoms with the stars to the limits imposed by the ongoing expansion of the universe, he takes the audience on a journey that reveals how small our current knowledge remains compared to what is still unknown. While emphasizing the guiding role of science in humanity’s quest to understand its place in the cosmos, he discusses how approaches lacking scientific foundations, such as astrology, often misinterpret this connection. Ultimately, he reflects on human life as a brief yet meaningful pause between infinities in a universe that stretches from eternity to eternity. Selçuk Topal is an astrophysicist and science communicator whose research focuses on molecular gas in galaxies, star formation, and galaxy evolution. Through his non-profit science communication initiative, Gelecek Uzayda (“The Future Is in Space”), which he has led since his doctoral years at the University of Oxford’s Department of Astrophysics, he aims to build an accessible, trustworthy, and engaging bridge between science and society. Over the years, he has appeared on hundreds of television programs, written popular science articles, delivered numerous seminars and public talks, and produced digital content that has reached millions of people. He is the author of From Chaos to Cosmos: The Story of the Universe and the creator and presenter of the documentary series Incredible Universe. El poder de las locuras | Isabella De la Torre | TEDxAnáhuac Puebla U
3 juin 2026
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. 5 étapes vers votre souveraineté intérieure | Cléphie Mbambi | TEDxPantheon Assas
3 juin 2026
Sessions 4.30.26 @ Stove Works | Amber Carrington Lewis | TEDxChattanooga Salon
3 juin 2026
TEDxChattanooga Sessions has always been about the space between the notes: the stories, the vulnerability, the humanity behind the music. This year, alongside Stove Works, we deepened that experience by also inviting visual art into the room where we collectively explored the intersection of music and visual art. The musicians not only performed stripped down versions of their originals but also perform a brand new song in response to a piece of art in the gallery. During their sets, they performed next to that piece of art sharing the creative journey and the connection they discovered between sound and art. Amber Worthington's set: 1. Counting On The Wind 2. Drown It Out 3. Upstairs Lounge (debut) inspired by "Upstairs Lounge" Amber Carrington Lewis is a Texas-born singer and storyteller now rooted in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she lives with her husband and their two children. In recent years, she has focused on honing her craft as a professional vocalist in studio settings and on stages for major events and festivals nationwide.
