How to save words

When you tap a word to see its meaning, you also get the option to save it — and saved words are what feed your review, so they don’t slip away.

How to save a word: tap the word in any transcript, caption or book, then save it from the popup. It’s kept together with the sentence you found it in, so you remember how it’s actually used.

Which words to save — the important part. Don’t save every unknown word. Save the ones that:

Saving everything buries the useful words among the rare ones you’ll never see again. A smaller, well-chosen list that you actually review beats a huge one you ignore.

Once saved, words come back automatically for spaced-repetition review — you don’t have to schedule anything.
