Many sightings have been reported over the years, but no conclusive evidence of its existence has ever been unearthed. Still, there are many believers out there. In late August 2023, the largest Nessie hunt in 50 years took place, organised by the local Loch Ness Exploration research group and bringing together nearly 200 people from places as far afield as Australia, Japan and the USA.
