How to get started with Hinto

Getting started takes about a minute — there’s no long onboarding and no course to sign up for.

Here’s what your first session looks like:

1. Download Hinto from the App Store or Google Play and open it.
2. Pick your language — the language you want translations and the interface in.
3. Set or find your English level so the app shows you content you can actually understand.
4. Choose something that interests you at your level — a podcast, a book, or a video.
5. Start — listen or read, and tap any word you don’t know to see what it means.
6. Save the words that matter, and let the review bring them back later.

The most important tip for your first session: pick content at your level, not above it. Something you understand about 70–80% of is the sweet spot — enough new to learn from, enough familiar to follow. Too hard isn’t immersion, it’s just frustrating.
