Whether through a hobby or a career, their passions have led to purpose, community, and a life that’s uniquely their own. For Sharon Montero, that means Sundays belong to softball. Montero has plenty competing for space on her calendar: A full-time job at Newark Airport, side gigs, and all the usual responsibilities of adulthood. But softball has remained a constant ever since she first picked up a bat at 10 years old. Now, she captains multiple co-ed adult teams, following the game wherever it takes her — from practices to friendly matchups across New Jersey — with her 2026 Toyota RAV4 GR SPORT packed with all the gear and teammates she needs along the way. Spend a typical Sunday with Sharon and see how the sport she never stopped loving has become the foundation for a tight-knit community in her life.
