Mel B Opens Up About the Spice Girls Reunion and Motherhood

Our first guest rocked the stage as Scary Spice. Now she's rocking the dance floor on ABC's hugely popular Dancing with the Stars. Please welcome Mel B and her dance partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy. >> I don't know what went flying.

Someone's jewelry or something went flying when you did that. I'll check it. >> Yeah. So now we've made $1,100 just from y'all doing that. >> We like that.

All right. >> NOW I KNOW BECAUSE YOU'VE BEEN HERE before and I've been talking to a lot of people who've done this show. It is a whole lot of work.

And with the year that you've had, I don't know how you would squeeze it or choose to squeeze it With all that's going on, why choose to to add this to your plate? >> You know, I just think why not?

It's the perfect time for me. I'm about to go on tour with the Spice Girls. I want to get my brain and my body fit. >> He helps me. >> Yeah, your body looks good.

Cuz especially cuz you just had a baby. You look fantastic. >> thank you. >> Yeah, YOU LOOK AMAZING. >> HOW OLD IS THE BABY?

>> 6 MONTHS. >> WOW. 6 months. So you're you're just And it's like lots of hours a day.

How is she as a student? >> Be nice. >> Besides a total lack of attention, she's very good. >> Really? Bad attention >> I like that.

>> Bad attention span? >> Yeah, I do. I do. >> No attention span. Well, she's doing all right so far, >> So far, so

good. But we've got the jive >> That's hard. Have you tried that? >> No, no. >> It's jumping all over the place.

>> Yeah, I don't want to do that. >> I don't. >> Yeah. And and now so it must help though that you've danced before with the Spice Girls, right?

>> Well, I mean Spice Girls were like routines for 6-year-olds. >> Stop it. It was lots of step digs and, you know, like simple. >> Right.

He always takes the mickey out of me with my Spice Girls routines. >> This is the one. See, everyone can do that. It's good.

That's the Spice Girls education. >> But that's it's popular. We can all dance along. The jive is something that we can't do. That's why a lot of boy bands and girl bands

don't do the jive in their routines. >> It's actually kind of impossible to do. >> It is. To remember the combinations and to keep on jumping. >> And make it look easy.

It's like >> going to incorporate in the in that in the Spice Girls tour? This the the jive? >> It'll be weird if she's the only one doing it. >> It just kicks in out of memory.
