The US launched another round of air strikes against Iran on Saturday night, targeting its coastal surveillance and air defence facilities, US military officials said. It comes after two US troops were killed in a missile and drone attack in Jordan on Friday night. The US said it targeted Iranian military sites and Revolutionary Guards forces it blames for the attack. Iran responded with drone strikes on two US bases in Kuwait, according to state media. The latest escalation comes after a temporary ceasefire collapsed, with both sides exchanging attacks and tensions continuing to rise across the Middle East.
