As co-founder of some of London's best-loved restaurants and bakeries – Primeur, Westerns Laundry, and Jolene – Jeremie Cometto-Lingenheim knows more than most how to host. After a business opportunity in Fowey drew him to Cornwall he knew he "wanted to be able to access those coves, moors and coastlines as often as [he] could." So he made a home for himself and his son in Penzance that is part Victorian granite cottage, part surf shack. It's here that he escapes the demanding routines of city life to explore what the landscape, the sea, the soil and the mercurial weather have to offer. Here, his door is often open, allowing life to pass through his living room and out into the garden, where small "soft" gatherings are welcome come rain or shine ...
