You might be my favorite glow up since we started this job. I got I got this picture in my phone. I don't think you're going to be able to see it, but it was from the very first interview we
did. And man, you look like in the best of ways like a completely different human being, man. Like everything about you. >> Damn.
Yeah, that's when I was in LA. >> Yep. I >> think that was like 2019 or something. >> I got to say, bro, this is my favorite interview to do.
I'm I'm This is >> it's it's it's the artistry, but it's the personality. is, you know, it's the time that's that's going on. That's seven years, bro. >> And every time we talk to you, bro, it's legitimately
um we we meet you at a new peak >> to level up. You know what I'm saying? It's like, uh if you watch Dragon Ball, how they turn Super Saiyan, and then there's like a new kind
of Saiyan after that. Your hair gets longer and blonder and bigger. Yeah, that's you. >> I mean, it's obviously my favorite interview to do, too. You know what I'm saying?
Like, I I love I just love the vibe. Like I love like and I I like like the way you guys like bring out you know what I'm saying certain conversations and and hit certain topics and I don't know man it's cool man you know what I'm saying
>> dog it's been a long seven years a long time bro time fly man >> let's talk about that seven years though man what what's it like for you like when you see that picture I just showed you and you look back at the trajectory of your career cuz I'm
going be honest with you man somebody that does this for a living a lot of people don't make it to the sevenyear mark and for you to go on this journey. What's this this ascension been like for Rod?
>> No, it's so crazy because when I first walked in and I seen you guys on the screen, like the first thing I said in my head was like, "Man, still here." You know what I'm saying? Like still here.
>> And like um I could I could say like it's been a lot like like a lot. But I can also like but I rather say like it's it's been you know what I'm saying? It's a blessing to be still here.
You know, a journey. You know what I'm saying? Like you said, like grow so much. You know what I'm saying? Bro, what do you attribute that to?
You know what I mean? What what qualities in you or you know the people around you, things that you were born with? Like what do you attribute that to, bro? Cuz that takes more than talent, right?
>> No, for real. No, for real. I feel like it's it's probably like only like and I say this a lot, but I feel like it's only like about 40% of talent.
>> The rest the rest is like grind, discipline, and uh structure, you know, and strategy. You know what I'm saying? just like not only not only planning like you know what I'm saying and planning and and and building out a
team and and getting the plan the blueprint but also like sticking to the plan like it's one thing to have a plan or have all these ideas and stuff right and then it's building the team so these ideas and plans can work but also sticking to the plan
