TEDx Talks What autism can teach us about leadership | Syreeta Brown | TEDxRichmond Abrir en Hinto

Sobre este vídeo

In this personal and powerful talk, Syreeta explores how parenting a neurodivergent child revealed a truth that many leadership models overlook: presence is everything. Not strategy, authority or performance. But the ability to truly meet another human being exactly where they are. Syreeta shows how the same qualities that create safety and growth for a neurodivergent child - consistency, compassion and deep presence, are the very qualities that unlock trust, innovation and performance within teams and communities. Syreeta Brown, author of Bigger than the Moon, is one of the UK’s most influential HR leaders and women in finance. Former Group Chief People & Communications Officer at Virgin Money and previously Managing Director at Citi, Syreeta is among the few Black women to reach the UK’s C-Suite. Named in the UK Powerlist’s top 10 most influential Black Britons, she blends two decades of corporate leadership with lived experience as a mother to a neurodivergent daughter. Syreeta’s work champions inclusion, purpose-driven leadership, and supporting parents of children with special needs, inspiring organisations to embrace difference and evolve. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
