Prasad Reshme discusses the future of Maharashtra’s power sector and the growing role of renewable energy in building a sustainable electricity grid. He explains the challenges of integrating solar power, smart metering, energy storage, and grid stability while highlighting how innovation can reduce carbon emissions and transform the way we generate and distribute electricity. Shri Prasad Tejram Reshme is an Executive Director (Projects) at MSEDCL. He joined the Maharashtra State Electricity Board in 1997 and has risen through various senior engineering and leadership roles over the years. At MSEDCL, he leads major distribution and infrastructure initiatives, including renewable energy projects, agricultural feeder segregation, and system strengthening to improve power reliability and consumer service across Maharashtra This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
