The librarian who risked her life for art and freedom In the early 1900s, as the sun sets over a small house in the United States, a figure emerges in the doorway. It's a young woman, in the prime of her life, her gaze torn between uncertainty and determination. Her eyes are gripped by melancholy as she looks at her mother and sisters.
