Su questo episodio
As we enter 2023, we’re desperately looking for ways to combat human-induced climate change. It’s a worthy cause, but it’s clear that some irreversible effects have already happened, and that will continue for some time. So it would be foolish not to prepare for the reality of living on a planet which has undergone significant warming. There’s relatively little known about how our bodies will react, which is why France’s Human Adaptation Institute set up three Deep Climate expeditions to take place between December 2022 and June 2023. The project will help researchers understand better how the human body adapts to intense conditions. A team of 20 volunteer “climatonauts” with no field experience will be accompanied by explorer and project organiser Christian Clot. What goes on during the expeditions? What bodily functions do we have to deal with climate change? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions!
