Why it takes a village to raise a parent | Anita Worlidge | TEDxRichmond
26 июл. 2026 г.
We often hear that it takes a village to raise a child. But what if we have overlooked something essential? Before we can raise thriving, resilient children, we must first raise and support - the parents. In this insightful and timely talk, Anita shifts the inclusion conversation to a group frequently left at the margins: parents. “It Takes a Village to Raise a Parent” challenges the assumption that parenting is a private matter. Anita makes the case that parents are foundational to everything - to workplaces, to schools, to communities and to the future of society itself. Anita is the UK’s leading expert in guiding expectant parents through one of life’s most significant and universal transitions: entering parenthood. Trusted by clients worldwide, including royalty and celebrities like Tom Ford and Adele, she is regarded as a best-kept secret among new parents globally. With over 25 years’ experience, Anita has supported more than 12,000 parents practically and emotionally, empowering them with knowledge and confidence. Founder of Anita’s List, her upbringing across ten countries shapes her inclusive, global perspective. She advises major organisations, supports vulnerable families through Sebby’s Corner in London, and is a founding member of The Mothers’ Collective within the global charity Mothers2Mothers. In 2025, she launched The Anita’s List Podcast, furthering her mission to reframe parenting as a superpower and champion the role of parents in society. How To Read Anyone In 6 Seconds | Kostya Kimlat | TEDxSarasota
24 июл. 2026 г.

As a professional magician, his career depends on walking up to people he’s never met and knowing, within moments, how to connect with them. In this talk, he reveals the system behind it. Using a deck of cards and four volunteers from the audience, Kostya demonstrates something most of us get wrong every day: we treat everyone the same and wonder why we don’t connect. His answer takes six seconds and two observations, and reveals how the four suits in a deck of cards map to four ways a person can show up in any moment. By the end, you’ll watch the trick and see four people getting exactly what they need. Kostya Kimlat is a professional magician best known for fooling Penn & Teller on their hit TV show “Fool Us.” He has performed in more than 200 cities across five continents and teaches organizations around the world about perception, communication, and human connection. The Optimistic Case for AI | Andrew McAfee | TEDxBoston
17 июл. 2026 г.
Will AI destroy jobs—or unlock an era of unprecedented prosperity? MIT principal research scientist and bestselling author Andy McAfee challenges some of today's biggest assumptions about artificial intelligence. Rather than fearing an AI-driven job apocalypse, he argues that AI will expand human capability, fuel entrepreneurship, improve healthcare, lower costs, and create new opportunities for innovation. In this thought-provoking conversation with John Werner, McAfee explores why optimism may be the most rational response to rapid technological change, what businesses must do to adapt, and why the next decade could bring extraordinary improvements in both economic prosperity and human flourishing. Andrew McAfee is a scientist at MIT, cofounder of the generative AI company Workhelix, and the inaugural visiting fellow in the Technology and Society group at Google. His work investigates how digital technologies are changing the world, and what kinds of companies are best able to lead this change rather than being disrupted by it. His most recent book is "The Geek Way: The Radical Mindset that Drives Extraordinary Results." His previous books include "More from Less" and, with Erik Brynjolfsson, the New York Times bestselling "The Second Machine Age: Work, Progress, and Prosperity in a Time of Brilliant Technologies."
