Your Mind Is Always Listening To Your Body | Kajal Srivastava | TEDxSNS Youth
21 авг. 2026 г.
Life doesn't give you what you want - It gives you what you've become ready for! Kalaripayattu Trainer Kajal Srivastava explores how normalising failure builds strong, capable individuals who shape a better future and break generational trauma and how one's mind is always being shaped by one's body. With giving a deeper historical context of the most ancient martial art form of India, this talk invites youngsters to start listening to their bodies to bring their mind to focus and make decisions that value growth! Kajal Srivastav is a Kalaripayattu martial artist and the founder of the TAVASI Movement, a social initiative rooted in courage, healing, and Indian cultural heritage. Through TAVASI, she uses the ancient martial art of Kalaripayattu as a tool for emotional, physical, and spiritual empowerment, especially for youth and women facing stress, self‑doubt, and social pressure. What to do when people stop trusting doctors | Aliza Norwood | TEDxUTAustin
16 авг. 2026 г.
Why is trust in medicine breaking down—and what would it take to rebuild it? In this TEDx talk, Dr. Aliza Norwood argues that medical mistrust is multifaceted, but it’s also a symptom of something deeper than any one cause: it’s the result of the loss of relationships at the heart of care. Through powerful patient stories and the recognition of mistrust as a key vital sign, she explores how trust is built not through expertise, but through human connection. As healthcare has grown more fragmented, one of medicine’s most important sources of trust has quietly eroded. This talk offers a way forward: rebuilding trust by restoring the doctor-patient relationship. Aliza Norwood, MD, FACP, is a board-certified internal medicine specialist in UT Health Austin’s Primary Care Clinic. She specializes in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) care and prevention and LGBT health. Additionally, Dr. Norwood is an associate professor in both the Dell Medical School Department of Internal Medicine and the Dell Medical School Department of Population Health at The University of Texas at Austin. She also serves as the Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine for the Dell Medical School Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Norwood previously served as Co-Director of the Primary Care, Family, and Community Medicine Clerkship for Undergraduate Medical Education at Dell Medical School. She has more than 10 years of experience providing HIV care in private practice, at the University of California San Francisco Women’s HIV Clinic, and locally at CommUnityCare and Vivent Health. She also led HIV prevention clinical trials at the San Francisco Department of Public Health. She is dedicated to empowering patients on their health journeys, training the next generation of exceptional doctors, and driving innovation to improve healthcare. How to reinvent yourself—from a scientist-turned-magician | Kevin Quantum | TEDxManchester
15 авг. 2026 г.
As a magician, Kevin is obsessed with transformation — not just turning cards into coins, but genuine personal transformation. Drawing on lessons from reality television, he explores what actually makes rapid personal change possible. It’s not motivation. It’s not talent. It’s environment, identity, and the willingness to let go of who you think you are. When those conditions align, transformation doesn’t just feel possible — it feels like magic. Kevin was trained by the best magicians in the business – Penn & Teller. He has been a magician for twenty years creating award winning productions at Fringe Festivals around the world, including this year’s Edinburgh Fringe. A Guinness World Record breaker, he has consulted on numerous films and theatre shows and also presents to the corporate world on topics including creativity and distraction. I’m helping kids bike to school—here’s why | Sam Balto | TEDxPortland
14 авг. 2026 г.
How children get to school tells us a lot about the communities we’ve built and whether those communities are serving kids or letting them down. In this talk, educator and Bike Bus World founder Sam Balto shares how walking school buses and bike buses help students arrive at school safer, calmer, more connected, and ready to learn. What began as a simple way to get kids moving became a global movement for active transportation, safer streets, and childhood independence. When communities are safe enough for children to walk and bike to school, they become better for everyone. Sam Balto, creator of the Bike Bus, builds community and gets kids moving through collaborations ranging from Stranger Things to rides with Justin Timberlake, Benson Boone, and former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg. The court I never returned to | Shriya Kharade | TEDxThe Orchid School
14 авг. 2026 г.
At eleven years old, I believed my future was already written on a badminton court. Years of training, discipline, and dreams pointed in one direction, until a career-changing injury forced me to step away from the sport I loved. What felt like the end of everything I had built became the beginning of something far more meaningful than I could have ever imagined. In this talk, I share how losing a dream taught me lessons that winning never could. Through moments of disappointment, self-discovery, and resilience, I explore how setbacks often reveal strengths we never knew we had. Sometimes, the paths we never planned lead us to the people we become. “The Court I Never Returned To” is not just about sports or failure; it is about redefining ambition, embracing change, and understanding that our identity is not limited to a single dream. It is a reminder that ambition is most powerful when guided by awareness, and that our greatest strength lies not in avoiding life's unexpected turns, but in how we choose to turn them into new beginnings. Shriya Kharade is a Grade 12 student at The Orchid School, Pune, with a love for storytelling, leadership, and trying new things. A published poet, student leader, sportsperson, and public speaker, she enjoys expressing ideas in ways that connect with people, whether through writing, on stage, or as part of a team. Over the years, Shriya has captained school sports teams, anchored major school events, volunteered with a nonprofit organisation, and taken on leadership roles that have taught her the value of resilience, teamwork, and adaptability. She believes that growth often comes from experiences that challenge us the most. In her TEDx talk, Shriya shares how an unexpected injury changed not only her plans but also her perspective on ambition and success. Through her story, she hopes to encourage others to embrace uncertainty, stay aware of what truly matters, and find the courage to keep moving forward even when life takes an unexpected turn. The Quiet Things We Leave Behind | Ranbir Singh | TEDxThe Orchid School
14 авг. 2026 г.
The Quiet Things We Leave Behind is a deeply personal talk about how the smallest everyday moments often have the greatest impact on the people around us. Through three true stories from my own life, I explore how ordinary conversations, missed opportunities, and unspoken words can shape relationships far more than dramatic events ever do. The first story reflects on a simple argument with my mother that taught me how deeply our words can affect the people closest to us. The second recounts my experience with a German exchange student, showing how regret can become a powerful teacher and inspire us to value every new relationship. The final story examines a friendship that slowly faded through silence, revealing the importance of honest communication before distance becomes permanent. Rather than focusing on grand acts of kindness, this talk encourages audiences to pay attention to the quiet choices they make every day—how they speak, listen, apologise, and show up for others. It is an invitation to reflect before regret has the chance to teach the lesson, reminding us that the person we choose to be today becomes the memory someone else carries tomorrow. Ranbir Singh is a student, public speaker, and aspiring finance professional passionate about leadership and meaningful human connections. Through his experiences in community service, international exchange, and public speaking, he enjoys sharing ideas that inspire reflection, empathy, and positive change. Die young as late as possible | Dr Douglas Hilbert | TEDxCambridge University
14 авг. 2026 г.
Dr. Douglas Hilbert argues that living longer only matters if we can stay healthy, active and fulfilled. Drawing from his experience as a doctor and his own struggles, he highlights three principles: make time for your health, recognize how relationships shape your habits, and advocate for yourself. Simple choices can prevent disease, while intentional goals and difficult conversations can help break unhealthy patterns. Ultimately, Dr. Hilbert encourages us to take control of our health and relationships so we can “die young as late as possible”—living not just longer, but better Dr. Douglas Hilbert is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, founder of HilbertMD, and Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He founded the first Academic Hospitalist program in the US Department of Defense at Brooke Army Medical Center. His work centers on helping people live stronger, longer, and with greater purpose, grounded in resilience, discipline, and the belief that we are capable of more than we realize. The Walls We Carry | Adwitya Choudhari | TEDxThe Orchid School
14 авг. 2026 г.
Fear rarely arrives with a warning. It settles quietly, laying one brick at a time until the walls around us feel like home. In this deeply personal talk, I reflect on how a childhood experience with fear slowly expanded into social anxiety, silence, and the habit of shrinking myself to fit the expectations of others. But the greatest realization wasn’t that fear had trapped me—it was that I had unknowingly handed it the blueprint. The stories we repeatedly tell ourselves eventually become the walls we live within, and the voices we hear long enough often begin to sound like our own. Through humor, vulnerability, and honest reflection, I explore why courage is not the disappearance of fear but the decision to stop letting it author our identity. Growth begins the moment we question the narratives that have quietly governed our lives and choose authenticity over approval. This talk is an invitation to examine the invisible architecture each of us carries, to reclaim the spaces fear has occupied, and to remember that the strongest foundations are not built by becoming fearless, but by rebuilding ourselves—one deliberate choice, one honest conversation, and one brave step at a time. Adwitya Choudhari is a Grade 10 student and a four-time consecutive recipient of the Outstanding Performance and Excellence in Academics Award. Fascinated by diplomacy, global affairs, and the exchange of ideas, she is equally captivated by whimsical stories and the quiet magic of books. An avid reader with an insatiable curiosity, Adwitya believes that every experience—whether joyful or difficult, lived or found within the pages of a story—has something to teach us. She believes that no experience is ever truly wasted; there is always a lesson to carry forward, a perspective to gain, or a reason to grow. To her, the greatest measure of life is not what happens to us, but what we choose to take away from it. Beyond the whistle | Omi Patil | TEDxThe Orchid School
14 авг. 2026 г.
Life, like sports, brings sudden, unpredictable shifts when rules change or plans fail. The author calls these moments "The Turn"—times of deep uncertainty, such as facing a failed exam, losing a spot on a team, or encountering sudden technology shifts. While ordinary people complain and resist disruption, true champions adapt. In sports, top athletes used sudden changes like the Decision Review System (DRS) in cricket and Hawk-Eye in tennis not as frustrations, but as tactical tools to gain an advantage. Similarly, when the speaker transitioned from playing keyboard to learning guitar, initial pain and frustration were overcome by adapting existing music knowledge and embracing the discomfort. Ultimately, success does not belong to the strongest, but to those who adapt first. Instead of complaining about unfair setbacks, champions look for solutions, using every failure, rejection, and disruption as fuel to build resilience and come out stronger. Meet Omi Patil, an enthusiastic 12-year-old 7th-grade student who seamlessly connects the worlds of logic, sports, and creative expression. An avid reader with a deep curiosity about how things work, Omi spends much of his time diving into fascinating books, complex mathematics, scientific concepts, and tactical chess strategies. Beyond his academic pursuits, he is an energetic sports enthusiast who loves the adrenaline of competition and proudly represents his school on the cricket team. When he takes a break from analyzing formulas you can find him expressing his creative side by strumming tunes on his guitar. Omi strongly believes that every discipline—whether it is science, athletics, or music—offers a unique opportunity to explore, learn, and grow. Going Beyond Rewards | Nimit Panwalkar | TEDxThe Orchid School
14 авг. 2026 г.
Learning and doing the right thing is important, but perhaps even more important is understanding why we choose to do it. In today’s world of instant gratification and constant recognition, understanding and applying our ancient wisdom has never been more crucial. In his first TEDx Talk, Nimit shares his journey of understanding the shlok from Bhagvad Gita: ‘Karmanye vadhikaraste ma phaleshu kadachana’; a teaching that encourages us to focus on our actions rather than their outcomes. He relates this simple yet difficult to apply shlok from the fresh lens and life of 10-year old school boy. Blending storytelling, humor, and practical insights, Nimit also introduces a simple three-step approach that anyone can use to practice this timeless principle in everyday life. Nimit, a 10-years-old student of Grade 5, is a happy and playful child. He is friendly, caring, and loves spending time with his friends and family. His helpful nature, and ability to sense how others feel, helps him build meaningful connections with people around him. He loves being active and exploring the outside world. He enjoys outdoor sports, athletics and spending hours in this imaginary world with his LEGOs. At the same time, he is fascinated by the stories of Ramayana and Mahabharata and is curious to understand and explore the timeless wisdom they hold. He tries to interpret and apply this knowledge in his own simple ways. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. We Are Never Ready? Ghostrider | Dr. Amit Samarth | TEDxThe Orchid School
14 авг. 2026 г.
In this talk, Dr. Amit Samarth shares his experiences as an endurance athlete and explains that training can never fully prepare us for the challenges of real life. The actual test is often harder and more unpredictable than we expect. Through his experiences, he shows that we don’t need a perfect plan or to feel completely ready before taking on something difficult. Success comes from taking action, adapting to challenges, and continuing forward even when we are not ready. Dr. Amit Samarth is a physician, public health professional, and ultra-endurance cyclist. He holds an MBBS from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Nagpur, and a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, USA. He has completed some of the world’s toughest endurance races, including the 9,100 km Red Bull Trans-Siberian Extreme and the 4,900 km Race Across America. In 2024, he secured 1st place in Race Across India, covering 3,758 km from Srinagar to Kanyakumari. In 2023, he won Race Across India Solo and set a world-record time of 6 days 23 hours for the 3,651 km journey. He holds multiple WUCA and Guinness World Records, is a 4-time Full Ironman and 16-time Ironman 70.3 finisher, and has completed nine full marathons. He is the Founder of Race Across India and Miles N Milers Endurance Sports Academy, and serves as Bicycle Mayor of Nagpur. What Is Your Stage? | Siya Prayag | TEDxThe Orchid School
14 авг. 2026 г.
In my talk, I share how one small decision changed the way I saw myself. I used to be afraid of speaking on stage and always hoped I wouldn’t be chosen for performances or speaking roles. Then one day, my teacher gave me an important role in our class concert. I was scared and wanted to say no, but I decided to give it a try. That experience taught me that courage comes before confidence. I didn’t become confident first and then perform; I became confident because I chose to perform despite being afraid. I believe everyone has their own “stage.” It may not be a real stage—it could be answering a question in class, trying a new sport, making a new friend, or taking on any challenge that feels scary. My message is that we should not let fear make our decisions. Sometimes, one small brave step is all it takes to discover what we are truly capable of and to turn our own lives in a new direction. Siya is a 9-year-old student who believes that every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Curious, enthusiastic, and always eager to learn, she enjoys reading, dancing, and taking part in school activities. Although she once struggled with stage fear, she discovered that one small act of courage could completely change the way she saw herself. Through her TEDx talk, What Is Your Stage?, Siya hopes to inspire children and adults alike to face their fears, embrace new opportunities, and believe in their own potential. She believes that confidence isn’t something you’re born with—it grows every time you choose courage over fear. With her positive outlook and love for learning, Siya hopes to encourage others to take that first brave step toward discovering what they are truly capable of. The Sum of Small Decisions | Riyana Hatkar | TEDxThe Orchid School
14 авг. 2026 г.
My talk uses an unusual teacher: slime mould, a brainless organism that, when researchers placed food sources on a map of Tokyo, grew a network almost identical to the city's railway system. I use this to explore how we actually make progress in life. We tend to misunderstand our own lives by treating them as completed stories, chasing five-year plans and grand purposes, when most of life is really lived at the next turn, not viewed from above. I trace this through three moments from my own life. A seventh-grade river cleanup where I felt crushed by the scale of pollution I couldn't fix, which created a thinking pattern of zooming out onto the entire problem instead of the step in front of me. A grade 10 competition where I was doing both a national science competition and preparing for board exams, and the fear of falling behind brought that same zoomed-out thinking rushing back, this time one I could recognise as it happened. And the moment I picked a stream of study, Science, Commerce, or Arts, where I finally attempted to work against that pattern by taking it one step at a time. The core message: planning works well for paths we can already see, but it cannot help with the paths we can't. Meaning doesn't come from understanding a turn in advance. It comes from entering it. Riyana Hatkar is a science student with a keen interest in biology and nature. She enjoys exploring the outdoors and learning about the natural world, from tiny organisms like slime moulds to rivers and ecosystems. Curious and observant, she loves discovering things that others often overlook. Riyana hopes to pursue a career in biology and continue exploring the wonders of nature. This talk shares simple and funny stories about running, failure, friendship, and growing a plant to show that we should not give up when things get difficult. Dia Manoj Kumar Bhat is a 12-year-old student who is passionate about learning, exploring new ideas, and making the most of every opportunity. Science is one of her favourite subjects, and she enjoys challenging herself both inside and outside the classroom. An A+ student, she has been honoured with her school's Academic Excellence Award. Beyond the Batter: The Hidden Ingredients of Who We Become | Kinisha Kohli | TEDxThe Orchid School
14 авг. 2026 г.

The Versions Within the Mess | Tanisha Badigannavar | TEDxThe Orchid School
14 авг. 2026 г.
This talk explores the pressure to become one fixed version of ourselves in a world full of labels, expectations, and ideas of perfection. It shows that having different sides, changing our minds, and being full of contradictions are not flaws, but a natural part of growing and discovering who we are. Instead of trying to fit into one perfect identity, we are encouraged to accept and celebrate the many different versions of ourselves. Tanisha Badigannavar believes curiosity is more valuable than certainty. A 17-year-old student with interests in psychology, philosophy, and human behaviour, she is fascinated by the contradictions that make people who they are. Alongside serving as the Senior House Captain, she enjoys writing, creating podcasts, and exploring ideas that sit at the intersection of identity, behaviour, and storytelling. Her TEDx talk, The Versions Within the Mess, reflects that curiosity, exploring why our complexity is not something to overcome, but something to embrace. You don’t grow into a new life… you decide into it | Dianna Fioravanti | TEDxCambridge University
7 авг. 2026 г.
We often believe growth begins when life becomes clearer, easier, or more certain. Dianna Fioravanti challenges that idea, arguing that possibility begins in the moment we stop waiting for confidence, permission, or perfect timing and choose to move anyway. Through a deeply personal story of childhood responsibility, hard decisions, and leadership, Dianna explores what it means to “flip the switch” in our own lives. She shows that the stories we believe about ourselves can either keep us small or open the door to who we are becoming. Growth is not something we wait to feel ready for. It is something we decide into. This talk is a call to anyone standing at the edge of a decision, a dream, or a version of themselves they have not fully stepped into yet: possibility does not always arrive as a perfect plan. Sometimes it begins with one brave decision. Dianna Fioravanti is President at Kuehne+Nagel Canada and the first woman to lead the company in Canada. A transformational leader and author of Flip the Switch, she is known for championing people-centered leadership, emotional intelligence, and workplace cultures built on trust, resilience, and authenticity.
