Carrie Mae Weems guest-edits Wallpaper* - out now!
Open in Hinto About this video
Carrie Mae Weems, one of America’s most important living artists, guest-edits the October issue of Wallpaper*, with a 28-page takeover and a special cover. For decades, Weems has used her work to ask difficult questions about power, Black identity and the histories we choose to hold on to. Now, as a Wallpaper* guest editor, she brings that thinking to the printed page. With a compelling curation of her own and other artists’ work – exploring monuments in relation to mourning, meaning and memory – she has us looking forward to her next collaboration, 250 and Change, which, as the United States marks its 250th anniversary, invites 50 artists to take the conversation about monuments and memory somewhere new. Find October Wallpaper*, featuring Weems’ special cover, alongside those of fellow guest editors Es Devlin and Palace Skateboards, on newsstands now, with more at the link in bio.
