[Trailer] The Quran & Human Psychology | Trauma | Nouman Ali Khan
Aug 30, 2026
In a recent lecture that took place in Genk, Belgium, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan discussed human psychology in the light of the Quran, and the emotion he focused on was trauma. This is the first in a range of upcoming series which focus on human psychology from the an Islamic lens. Ustadh Nouman highlights the key differences between psychology frameworks pioneered by the likes of Freud and perpetuated today by “social media therapists”, and that which is present throughout the Quran. The former puts the individual at the center of the universe, whereas Islam recognizes Allah as the most important entity. In contrast with the Quran’s narrative, mainstream psychology and other theological frameworks will have you believe that you are permanently broken, that your family is a prison, and that “healing” means cutting everyone off in order to free yourself. Ustadh Nouman highlights how in fact, very real examples of trauma and feeling alone, unsupported, misunderstood and unheard, are already present in the Quran and were experienced by the Prophets themselves in their most extreme forms. How do we unpack these stories and recalibrate our understanding of these very real emotions? This lecture and our upcoming series aims to answer this question, and unpack every single human emotion mentioned in the Quran by providing real-life, relatable examples of how we can recognize and manage them in our lives today.. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift

Your Pain Can Make You Unfair | Khutbah By Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan
Aug 28, 2026
You who believe, be steadfast in your devotion to God and bear witness impartially: do not let hatred of others lead you away from justice, but adhere to justice, for that is closer to awareness of God. Be mindful of God: God is well aware of all that you do. Hatred has a way of disguising itself as justice. When we are hurt, angry, or resentful, it becomes easy to convince ourselves that whatever we do in response is fair. But this Ayah from Surah Al-Ma’idah gives a much harder standard: do not let hatred push you away from justice. This Ayah forces us to look inward. Justice is not only about standing against people who are wrong. It is also about controlling what happens inside our own hearts when we feel wronged. Anger can blind us. Revenge can feel righteous. Pain can make us unfair while we still believe we are on the right side. Allah ties fairness directly to taqwa. That means our worship, Quran, salah and spirituality cannot be separated from how we treat people, especially the people we dislike. Real taqwa shows when we can still be fair, even when hatred gives us every excuse not to be. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift

How Does a Palm Reader Know Things About You? | Surah Al-Jinn | Nouman Ali Khan
Aug 24, 2026
Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan works through ayah six of Surah Al-Jinn, وَأَنَّهُ كَانَ رِجَالٌ مِنَ الْإِنْسِ يَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالٍ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمْ رَهَقًا (72:6) and the two words the ayah turns on. Ya'udhun comes from a root describing meat that clings to the bone and vines that will not come off a wall, the same word behind A'udhu billah. Rahaq describes a dog pinning its prey. Together they explain what actually happens when human beings go looking for jinn: you approach them for one thing and end up owned by them. The session moves through the narrations of Arabs calling on the master of the valley at night, the man who watched a wolf return a lamb unharmed when a shepherd called out, Ibn Kathir's suggestion that the wolf was the jinn itself and Ibn Ashur on the humiliation that follows. It closes on the qareen and why a palm reader can tell you about your own grandfather. Are You Really A Believer? - Nouman Ali Khan
Aug 21, 2026
In this Khutbah Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan opens up Surah An-Nisa (4:135), a verse he calls a complete curriculum on justice packed into a single phrase. He begins with the context: this was early Medina, a state of emergency, Muslims outnumbered and under constant threat, yet Allah chose that moment to reveal detailed family law. Why? Because a nation that cannot protect justice inside its own homes will never withstand the threats coming from outside. Strength begins with the individual and the family, not the battlefield. From there he walks through the language of the verse word by word: the difference between merely claiming faith and truly living it, why Allah says be people of justice rather than become them, and why He ties justice directly to testimony given for His sake alone. The hardest test is not standing against distant injustice, but against your own father, spouse, sibling or family when they are wrong. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift

I Attended a Muslim “Hackathon” Event | Nouman Ali Khan | Diwan Hackathon 2026 | Helsinki, Finland
Aug 20, 2026
Recently, on the 13th June 2026 in Helsinki, Finland, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan popped in to surprise a group of 50 elite Muslim developers, designers, and entrepreneurs at their first ever european “hackathon” event - organized by Diwan. While there, he delivered a talk to some attendeed during which he laid out an uncomfortable truth: Muslims can protest and scream all they want, but without economic leverage, the world simply does not move. He explains how politics is dictated by economics, why becoming an indispensable economic player is the only real source of influence, and how a corrupt, cannibalistic business mindset keeps the Ummah divided and competing over the same shrinking resources instead of building complementary services that strengthen each other. He challenges the habit of copy pasting ideas, the insecurity that treats every new venture as a threat, and the trap of building overtly Islamic products that only sell to Muslims. Then he turns to the psychological oppression that stops young Muslims from taking risks: the guilt, the gaslighting, and the difference between honoring parents and surrendering God given rights. Honest, direct, and often funny, this is a challenge to think bigger and build things that actually matter. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift

Knowing Alone Isn’t Believing (Until You Obey) | Surah Al-Jinn | Nouman Ali Khan
Aug 17, 2026
A group of jinn passed by the Prophet ﷺ while he was reciting Fajr, heard the Quran for a few minutes and everything they believed about the sky, the past and themselves changed. In this opening session on Surah Al-Jinn, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan lays the groundwork by walking through what the Quran already says about the jinn. He covers how people made them partners with Allah وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ الْجِنَّ (6:100), how a person can worship them without ever praying to them, and why Allah told His Messenger ﷺ to leave their world alone rather than get pulled into fascination with it. He then explains لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَا (7:179) as two separate batteries, intellectual and spiritual, and why jinn who see angels can still refuse to believe. Allah did not record what the jinn heard. He recorded how they reacted, and He made their words part of the Quran (72:1). Sit with that before you open the Surah again. Muslim Minorities in Non-Muslim Lands (A Quranic Worldview) - Nouman Ali Khan
Aug 14, 2026
Many Muslims living in the West have heard khutbahs about At-Tawbah 9:29 and walked away feeling that Islam commands distance, suspicion and conflict with non-Muslims. But that reading tears one Surah out of its historical context and ignores an Ayah revealed at almost the exact same time. In this Khutbah, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan unpacks the crucial difference between Surah At-Tawbah and Surah Al-Ma'idah, explaining why At-Tawbah was a closing of mercy's door on specific peoples who waged war against the Prophet ﷺ, while Al-Ma'idah laid out something else entirely: a divine foreign policy for Muslim minorities living among non-Muslim majorities. Allah's permission for Muslims to share meals and build families across faith lines in Al-Ma'idah (5:5) was not a footnote. It was a mandate for engagement, trust-building and honest presence in society. The examples of Indonesia, Sri Lanka and the earliest Muslims who lived under a Christian king in Abyssinia without a single command to leave all point to the same truth: Islam is built to travel, to adapt to any culture and any century without losing itself. The question for Muslim communities in Europe and beyond is not whether to engage with society but how to do so with integrity, the way the Prophet ﷺ built credibility through character for forty years before a single Ayah was revealed. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift

How Shaytan Sabotages Good Work | Khutbah Highlights | Nouman Ali Khan
Aug 12, 2026
In this khutbah reminder, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan explains the danger of Najwa: secret conversations, side meetings and quiet whispers that happen after the real meeting is already over. This was one of the tactics of the munafiqun in Madinah. They would sit in the same masjid, hear the same message and then stay behind to create doubt, drama and division. Their goal was not always to openly attack Islam. Sometimes the goal was to drain the energy of sincere believers and make them feel sad, burnt out and demotivated. And this problem did not disappear. It shows up in workplaces, masjid boards, Dawah organizations, friend groups and even families. The Quran teaches us that every community needs internal cleaning, not just outward Dawah. If the house is dirty on the inside, bringing more people in will not fix the problem. The solution is to recognize Najwa, stop feeding it and return to the Quran’s detox for the community. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift

Why Allah Punished the Israelites Even After They Repented | Story Night: Breaking Free
Aug 10, 2026
What happens when a whole nation witnesses miracle after miracle and still chooses shirk? In this Story Night session, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan unpacks one of the most haunting episodes in Quranic history: the aftermath of the golden calf, the rise and fall of the Samiri, and what Allah commanded next. The verse at the heart of this session is (2:54). Ustadh Nouman walks through how the Samiri built a cult by offering a transactional religion that mimicked prophetic authority, why Allah chose humiliation over execution as his punishment, and how the Israelites kept escalating in defiance even as Musa (AS) pleaded on their behalf. The conversation then moves to the shaking mountain, the 70 leaders, and Musa's (AS) remarkable du'aa that included his own people despite everything they had done. Every detail connects directly to patterns visible in our own time, from dream-influencers on social media to spiritual charlatans who charge in advance. When a Cult Leader Sells Shirk to a Desperate People | Story Night: Breaking Free | Nouman Ali Khan
Aug 4, 2026
This clip was taken from: “Chapter 2: Jewelry for a Statue” from the ‘Breaking Free’ Story Night on Bayyinah TV. In this Story Night: Breaking Free session, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan walks through the moment the Israelites, fresh out of Egypt and lost in the desert, handed their most precious belongings to a man named Samiri, who melted everything down and built a golden calf for them to worship. The story unpacks why people who had seen miracle after miracle could still fall for such a scheme: generations of living inside Egyptian cow-worship had left a residue in their hearts, and Samiri knew exactly how to exploit their fear of starving. Allah calls this out directly in Surah Taha: وَلَقَدْ قَالَ لَهُمْ هَـٰرُونُ مِن قَبْلُ يَـٰقَوْمِ إِنَّمَا فُتِنتُم بِهِۦ ۖ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ فَٱتَّبِعُونِى وَأَطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرِى (20:90), recording that Harun (AS) warned his people before things fell apart. This session also shows how Allah defended Harun's honor in the Quran before Musa (AS) even returned to ask questions, a detail that speaks directly to every believer who has ever tried to do the right thing and been ignored. Hidden Qualities That Destroy Your Good Deeds | The Story of Qarun | Nouman Ali Khan
Jul 31, 2026
In this recent talk delivered in Denmark, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan unpacks the story of Qarun, one of the Quran's most unsettling characters, to expose a sickness most of us carry without noticing. Qarun had wealth, influence and status, but he was loyal to no one except himself, willing to betray his own people to enrich himself. Through his story, Ustadh Nouman shows how the obsession with comparison quietly poisons our sense of value, whether it shows up in followers, money, grades, looks or even in those who serve Islam. He connects it to the mindset capitalism sells us, the endless wanting to be like the people on the pedestal, and then arrives at a striking teaching in Surah Al-Qasas (28:83): Allah reserves the Jannah not for those who simply do good, but for those who do not even want to be superior over others or to spread corruption in pursuit of that superiority. The talk closes with practical wisdom on the difference between destructive comparison and healthy ambition, and how to redirect that competitive drive toward growth instead of defeating others. In this recent talk delivered in Denmark, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan unpacks the story of Qarun, one of the Quran's most unsettling characters, to expose a sickness most of us carry without noticing. [Trailer] The Entire Story of Moses | Nouman Ali Khan | Story Night Series
Jul 27, 2026
The sixth and final installment in the story of Musa (AS), Story Night: Breaking Free, is now streaming exclusively on Bayyinah TV: https://byna.tv/157 This chapter closes the story of Musa (AS) told across the Story Night series throughout the last decade. Over the years, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan has walked audiences around the world through the life of Musa (AS): his childhood in the shadow of Fir'awn, his years of exile in Madyan, his return to Egypt, and his confrontation with tyranny that ended in Fir'awn's downfall. Now, "Breaking Free" picks up in the aftermath of the drowning and follows what came next. But this was never simply a story from the past. From a mother's desperation as she placed her baby into the river, to Musa's noble restraint in Madyan, to the overwhelming moment Allah spoke to him on the mountain, every chapter uncovers something timeless about fear and faith, courage and power, and the workings of the human heart. The Quran does not tell us these stories simply so we can learn about people who lived thousands of years ago. It tells them so that we can recognize ourselves in them. These are not only the stories of Musa (AS), Fir'awn, and Bani Israel. They are stories about us. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://byna.tv/157 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift

Why Did the Angels Prostrate to Adam and Not Eve? | Q&A with Nouman Ali Khan
Jul 22, 2026
How could Iblis stand in the presence of Allah and still refuse His command? In this Q&A, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan answers three questions. The first: why were the angels commanded to prostrate to Adam (AS) and not to Eve as well? Ustadh Nouman explains that Adam (AS) is the first human being, not merely the first man, and that all of his children, including Eve (Hawwa), were honored through that moment. The second: did Iblis lose his awe of Allah? The answer is a psychological diagnosis: his entire self-worth was built on comparison, and the moment he was no longer number one, his desire to protect his image became greater than his recognition of Allah. The third: do we need to master Arabic to understand the Quran? Everyone is on a journey with the Word of Allah, and that is exactly what He wants. Have a question about an ayah of the Quran? What Backbiting Is and Why Muslims Still Do It | Surah Al-Hujurat | Nouman Ali Khan
Jul 20, 2026
In this clip from our Deeper Look of Surah Al-Hujurat, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan unpacks one of the most overlooked dimensions of Ayah 49:12, the verse in which Allah asks whether any of you would love to eat the flesh of your dead brother and you would despise that. Most people hear this verse and think about the person doing the backbiting. Ustadh Nouman shows why that reading is incomplete. The grammatical choice Allah makes, addressing the prohibition in the third person rather than directly, is deliberate: it covers not only the one speaking but every person sitting in the room who heard it and said nothing. Silence, in this Ayah, is a violation. He then walks through the real reasons people backbite or permit it around them: unaddressed anger, the fear of social awkwardness, a need to deflect attention from their own flaws and jealousy toward others who appear happy. The image Allah chose, eating your own brother's dead flesh, is so viscerally repulsive precisely because our tongues produce harm we have grown numb to. The ugliness of the image is the point. What’s the point of Jesus’ Miracle Birth? | Q&A with Nouman Ali Khan
Jul 15, 2026
Why would Allah design the miraculous birth of Isa (AS) in a way that invited people's worst assumptions? In this Q&A, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan responds to a questioner reflecting on Surah Maryam (19:20), when Maryam (AS) asks how she could have a child when no man has touched her. Ustadh Nouman explains that the test was never really about her. It was a test for the people around her: a believing community that was quick to demonize, chastise and humiliate one of their own without knowing the facts. Allah flipped their assumptions, showing that honor comes from Him alone, and that Maryam (AS) and her son would become two of the most honored human beings in existence. Remarkably, Allah told her not to defend herself, because the more they spoke, the more they exposed themselves. A powerful lesson for anyone who has ever been judged unfairly. Why Reading Into What People Say Poisons Your Heart | Surah Al-Hujurat | Nouman Ali Khan
Jul 13, 2026
In this clip from our Deeper Look of Surah Al-Hujurat, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan unpacks a tension that quietly corrodes Muslim communities: the habit of making bad assumptions about people who have given you no reason to doubt them. Drawing from the Ayah (49:12), Ustadh Nouman walks through the scholarly position that suspicion toward someone whose outward conduct is good is simply not permitted and that suspicion left unchecked leads naturally to spying. He brings a hadith to life in which the Prophet ﷺ stood before the Ka’bah and swore that the dignity, blood and wealth of a Muslim are more sacred to Allah than the Ka’bah itself, meaning that attacking a believer's honor through assumption is graver than desecrating that sacred house. The clip closes with a practical warning: obsessing over what people really meant when they spoke to you is not cleverness, it is a failure of trust in Allah. Selective Outrage: Standing Up Against Injustice | Q&A with Nouman Ali Khan
Jul 8, 2026
It's easy to speak up about injustice happening a thousand miles away. It's much harder when it's happening in your own family. In this Q&A, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan responds to a questioner struggling to understand how to live by the command in Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:8): stand up for Allah as witnesses to justice, and never let hatred keep you from being fair. Ustadh Nouman explains that justice is not only about geopolitics and activism. The same Allah who commanded us to pray and fast commanded us to speak up when we see wrong, whether it's financial injustice, family injustice or wrongdoing among our own friends. Staying silent to avoid drama while posting about causes far away is a double standard the Quran does not allow. The goal is a real commitment to the actual word of Allah and what it does in our lives. Have a question about an ayah of the Quran? Your Sarcastic Compliment Is Still an Insult | Surah Al-Hujurat | Nouman Ali Khan
Jul 6, 2026
In this clip from Surah Al-Hujurat Deeper Look Series Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan walks through one of the most overlooked forms of harm in Muslim communities: the words we say to each other's faces, the assumptions we hold in our hearts and the nicknames we throw around as jokes. He breaks down the Arabic distinction between a derogatory nickname (namas) and a harmless title (laqab), and explains why Allah warns us against even sarcastic use of kind words. He also discusses a narration from Aisha (RA) where the Prophet ﷺ told her that a single gesture of mockery contaminated her entire speech and could have contaminated an ocean. The clip closes with a powerful reminder that bad assumptions toward another believer are not just a social problem: they are backbiting of the heart and one of the rare sins in Islam where the thought itself is held accountable. How Long Will My Oppressors Keep Getting Away With It? | Q&A with Nouman Ali Khan
Jul 2, 2026
What do you do when someone with more power, more leverage and more rights keeps hurting you, and there seem to be no consequences for them at all? Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan answers a question many Muslims quietly carry: the feeling that injustice goes unanswered and that nothing will ever change. He explains that the power an oppressor holds is given by Allah and can be taken back by Him at any moment. تُؤْتِي الْمُلْكَ مَن تَشَاءُ وَتَنزِعُ الْمُلْكَ مِمَّن تَشَاءُ (3:26). Those who think their cruelty has put them ahead are making a horrible calculation and what they hoard and withhold will become a collar around their necks on Judgment Day (3:180). The relief Allah promises is real, but its timing and form belong to Him, not to us. That is no excuse for cowardice. We are still called to stand up to the tyrant, even when we are small, and leave the rest in Allah's hands. You Can't Have Taqwa and Ignore People | Surah Al-Hujurat | Nouman Ali Khan
Jun 29, 2026
In this clip from Surah Al-Hujurat Deeper Look Series, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan talks about one of the most striking claims in the Quran: that true believers are nothing but blood brothers. A bond defined not by ethnicity, language, school of thought or circle, but by iman alone. Ustadh Nouman walks through the ayah وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ (49:10) and explains why making peace between believers is not optional goodwill but an act of taqwa itself. He shares a hadith about aiding both the wrongdoer and the wronged, explaining that helping someone who is in the wrong means stopping them from wrongdoing, that is how you truly help them. He also reflects on the price of fairness: a truly fair judgment often leaves everyone unhappy and yet Allah says He loves those who avoid unfairness. The clip closes with a direct, honest challenge about how Muslims today filter brotherhood through nationality, madhab, wealth, immigration status and even the way someone wears hijab and why that, according to this surah, is the very definition of jahaliyyah. Marriage Is a Contract, Not a Religious Argument | Q&A with Nouman Ali Khan
Jun 24, 2026
What does the Quran actually demand of a husband and wife? Why does so much of married life still feel like a question with no clean answer? In this clip, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan addresses the question sitting behind it: whose obedience is being described and how much can a husband actually demand? His answer is unfiltered. He pushes back against parts of the classical legal tradition he finds unconvincing, names what marriage really is in Islam, a contract carrying rights, expectations and a measured degree of authority, and explains why the Quran refused to spell out a one-size-fits-all script for two people sharing a life. Boundaries, money, family, freedom. The Quran left these for two adults to work out, ideally long before they ever marry. This is a conversation about what Allah said and what He intentionally left for us to figure out. Have a question about an ayah of the Quran? When Faith Gets Sweet, Haram Gets Ugly | Surah Al-Hujurat | Nouman Ali Khan
Jun 23, 2026
In this clip from Surah Al-Hujurat, Deeper Look Series, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan explains a stunning distinction Allah makes in Ayah 7 between two gifts He gave the believers: He made faith beloved to their hearts and then He also beautified it there. These are not the same thing. You can love someone and not find them beautiful. You can find something beautiful and not love it. Allah gave both, together, specifically about our relationship with the Prophet ﷺ. Ustadh Nouman walks through how this love is designed to deepen the more you learn about him, unlike any human relationship where familiarity breeds indifference. He then connects this to the three things Allah made hateful to the believer: disbelief, corruption and disobedience, explaining why gossip appears specifically in this Surah and how a growing Iman makes sin feel genuinely ugly, not just forbidden. People of Islam vs People of Iman | Nouman Ali Khan
Jun 19, 2026
There are two types of people in the Ummah. Both are Muslim. But they are not the same. The people of Islam ask: "What's the least I need to do to get into Jannah?" The people of Iman ask: "How can I do more?" One just wants to graduate. The other just wants to learn. Abu Bakr (RA), Umar (RA), Ali (RA), Uthman (RA), did any of them ever ask for the bare minimum? That's what Iman looks like. Always pushing. Always seeking. Never settling. Which one are you? ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift

What Does The Quran Say About Hijab and Khimar? | Q&A with Nouman Ali Khan
Jun 18, 2026
Sometimes the hardest place to wear hijab is your own home. That is the tension this question sits in: a young Muslim woman wanting to cover the way the Quran describes, only to be told by her own mother that people will see her as a terrorist, and by her mother-in-law that her hijab makes everyone else feel sinful. In this recent live Q&A session during Ramadan, with questions taken from our new Revealed app, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan refuses to begin with fiqh. He begins with the bigger issue: control. The same modern worldview that celebrates freedom of choice grows strangely insecure the moment a Muslim woman expresses her faith. He then returns to what the Quran actually settles in the 31st ayah of Surah An-Nur: وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَىٰ جُيُوبِهِنَّ (let them draw their khimars over their chests). The Ayah specifies what should be covered, not the exact style. How a woman expresses that modesty has always been hers to shape. Let this conversation sit with you, not as a debate but as a reminder of what Allah has already made clear. Have a question about an ayah of the Quran? The Mindset Keeping Muslims Away From Real Faith | Surah Al-Hujurat | Nouman Ali Khan
Jun 15, 2026
In this clip from Surah Al-Hujurat Deeper Look Series Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan draws one of the most practical and eye-opening distinctions in the entire Surah, the difference between the people of Islam and the people of Iman. One group asks what is the least they can do. The other cannot stop doing more. And the problem is not that both exist. The problem is when the ones doing the most become an intimidation rather than a motivation for the ones doing the least. He also unpacks a lesson on etiquette that cuts deep, the people who kept calling the Prophet ﷺ out of his home without patience, without consideration, feeling entitled to his time the moment he stepped outside. And Allah, even at the very end of revelation, went easy on them. Not because it was acceptable. But because they were new and they simply did not know better. Both of these lessons land differently when you look at the Muslim community today. How To Deal With Tyrants In Your Life | Khutbah by Nouman Ali Khan
Jun 12, 2026
In this khutbah, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan reflects on the powerful moment in Surah Taha when Allah sends Musa عليه السلام and Harun عليه السلام to confront Fir’awn. Before Allah tells them what to say, He teaches them how to go: together, with support, and with the signs of Allah. Even Musa عليه السلام, who spoke directly to Allah, was not sent alone. This teaches us that when we face overwhelming challenges, we need both human support and reliance on Allah. Ustadh Nouman then explores one of the most difficult instructions given to Musa عليه السلام: to speak softly to Fir’awn, despite his tyranny, oppression, arrogance, and cruelty. Why would Allah command soft speech in front of someone so evil? This khutbah unpacks the deeper wisdom behind that instruction. It is not about weakness. It is about discipline, emotional control, trust in Allah, and remembering that even when the tyrants in our lives seem powerful, Allah is present, listening, and watching. Whether you are dealing with an unfair person, a hostile environment, a family conflict, a workplace challenge, or someone who seems to have no rules, this reminder from the story of Musa عليه السلام gives us a Quranic way to stay composed without losing ourselves. ------------------------------ 📚 Start your Quran journey at https://www.bayyinahtv.com 🎁 Sponsor a soul who seeks the Quran with a Bayyinah TV membership at https://bayyinah.com/gift

Allah Cares About Your Effort, Not The Result | Q&A with Nouman Ali Khan
Jun 10, 2026
There's an ayah many Muslims hold onto as a personal mantra: وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ (53:39). The human being will get nothing except what they strive for. It sounds like a promise that sincere effort will be rewarded with results. But what happens when you give your best and still come up short, when the door doesn't open, when the answer is no? In this Q&A from Ramadan Day 21 on Bayyinah TV Live, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan responds to a viewer who took this ayah as their guiding light and now feels lost, betrayed and shaken in their iman. He explains why the verse was never a worldly success formula. The world measures you by accomplishment and outcome. Allah measures you by your striving itself. This is a reflection on effort, disappointment and what your sincerity is actually worth in the sight of Him who sees what no one else does. Have a question about an ayah of the Quran? The Sahabah’s Love & Awe For the Prophet ﷺ | Surah Al-Hujurat | Nouman Ali Khan
Jun 8, 2026
In this clip from our Deeper Look of Surah Al-Hujurat Deeper Look, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan talks about one of the most striking realities about the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, the people who lived with him, argued with him, were married to him, and grew up alongside him, yet never once let any of that familiarity reduce their awe of him. Every single one of them, no matter how close, called him RasulAllah ﷺ. That level of regard and respect was not protocol, it was real and came from a deep level of iman. Ustadh Nouman also addresses how Muslims today misuse hadith, not to remind each other of truth, but to win arguments for their own personal gain. How should we respond in a situation like this? Sometimes humility means giving someone the satisfaction of thinking they won. That is not weakness. That is what lowering your voice before the Prophet ﷺ actually looks like in real life. The Liars, Cheaters & The Ungrateful | Khutbah by Nouman Ali Khan
Jun 5, 2026
In this khutbah, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan reflects on a powerful ayah from Surah Al-Hajj: “Indeed, Allah defends those who believe. Indeed, Allah does not love every treacherous, ungrateful person.” Surah Al-Hajj 22:38 What does it really mean that Allah defends the believers? And why does the same ayah immediately warn against being khawwān and kafūr — repeatedly dishonest and deeply ungrateful? This khutbah explores how lying, cheating, and covering up the truth can slowly become normal in a person, a family, or even a society. Sometimes we convince ourselves that dishonesty is a way to protect ourselves: from shame, from consequences, from losing people’s approval, or from upsetting family. But the believer has to ask a deeper question: whose protection are we really seeking? Ustadh Nouman continues to explains the connection between honesty, gratitude, loyalty, and faith, and why standing by the truth, even when it costs us, is part of trusting Allah’s defense.
