A poetic monologue exploring the inner conflict between staying and leaving, belonging and searching for something new. Through personal reflection and emotional storytelling, the performance examines how fear, memory, hope and identity shape the choices that define our lives. The Cultural Association of Arta “O Makrygiannis” was founded in 1980 by people united by their love for Arta, the arts, literature and culture. For more than four decades, the Association has played an active role in the cultural, educational and social life of the local community. Through traditional dance, theatre, choirs, music, visual arts and creative workshops for children, young people and adults, it creates opportunities for expression, learning and meaningful participation. Its work connects local history and cultural heritage with contemporary artistic creation, keeping traditions alive while encouraging cooperation between generations. At TEDxArta, members of the Association bring the city’s memory and identity to the stage through theatrical and dance performances inspired by the stories, traditions and people of Arta.
